I am a student CranioSacral Therapist training through the Upledger UK starting from scratch core programme.
My background is photography. I love nothing more than taking pictures, especially where weddings are concerned. So how did I wind up training in CranioSacral Therapy…
At the grand old age of 26 and with a 10 month old daughter I suffered a stroke. Subsequently I faced permanent quadratic hemianopia (vision loss) along with chronic back to back migraines, let alone the stress and anxiety that being ill puts you under. My wonderful friend and Chiropractor suggested she give me a CranioSacral session. I have a lot to thank her for. Not only in time did she relieve the unbearable pressure in my head, restore me back to something that back then felt a little like my former self, but she led me on the path I am walking today.
Experiencing first hand the positive changes CranioSacral Therapy had on my body and mind after such a traumatic experience in my life planted a little seed. This seed needed a good few years to root itself, to nourish and to grow. Then, 6 years down the line I knew the time was right and with the support of my wonderful Husband and family, here I am today.
I started my journey learning this modality in April 2018 when I embarked on The College of Body Science’s Human Anatomy and Physiology Foundation Certificate. Now 7 courses and 5 levels into my training I am even more astounded than I was before.
Each and every client I have walk through my door amazes me, their bodies, their minds, their experiences, their reactions, they all differ in so many ways and I am entirely grateful for the opportunity they are giving me to learn.
